In September 2017 a friend and I flew to Turkey to visit his family and do some traveling. We went down the Anatolian coast from Istanbul and hopped to a few Hellenic islands along the way. The culmination of over 10 years of friendship and ended with the loss of a grandparent, in many ways it was a transformative experience.
